THERMINOL® VP-1
Therminol® VP-1 is a thermal oil for very high temperatures and has excellent thermal stability. Therminol® VP-1 is designed for temperatures up to 400°C and can be used in both the gas and liquid phases of a thermal system. The system requires a static pressure of approximately 10 bar to operate in the liquid phase at high temperatures.

The system requires a static pressure of approximately 10 bar to operate in the liquid phase at high temperatures.
Therminol® VP-1 is a eutectic mixture of 73.5% diphenyl oxide (DPO) and 26.5% diphenyl (DP) and can be used as such in both gas and liquid phase systems. Operation in the gas phase is possible at temperatures above 275°C. Since Therminol® VP-1 changes to a solid form at just +12°C, it is important to provide the installation components with “tracing” (heating of the piping system) to prevent solidification of the oil in very low weather conditions.
