Manufacturer Eastman®
Chemical name Benzyltoluene
CAS numbers 27776-01-8, 53585-53-8

Marlotherm® LH is frequently used for the indirect heating of reactors and process plants that are both heated and cooled by means of a central heat transfer system, and for systems where different users need to be supplied with different temperatures.

Marlotherm® LH is frequently used for the indirect heating of reactors and process plants that are both heated and cooled by means of a central heat transfer system, and for systems where different users need to be supplied with different temperatures.

The thermal oil system must be designed and used in accordance with the recommendations of DIN 4754 "Thermal installations operating with organic heat transfer fluids".

Marlotherm® LH can also be used at operating temperatures above 280℃ in pressurized systems. The advantage of using Marlotherm® LH in this temperature range compared to non-pressurized systems with Marlotherm® SH must be assessed individually for each situation.

Due to the very narrow boiling range of 4℃, Marlotherm® LH can also be used in the gas-liquid phase, for example for reactor cooling or in exothermic processes.
