Therminol®-XP is a typical thermal, pure mineral oil used in conditions where the possibility of food contamination cannot be ruled out. Therminol® XP can be used within a range of -20°C to +315°C.
Therminol® XP is a typical thermal, pure mineral oil used in conditions where the possibility of food contamination cannot be ruled out. Therminol® XP can be used within a range of -20°C to +315°C.
Despite the high quality of this thermal oil, there is a tendency towards oxidation at higher temperatures, simply because we are dealing with a pure mineral oil with FDA approval, making it excellent for use in the food industry. A nitrogen installation on the expansion vessel is a must to further prevent accelerated oxidation. There really are no thermal fluids that have FDA approval that do not need to be replaced regularly. Particularly in the bakery industry, many incorrect products are used in thermal systems, often resulting in severe charring in the piping system, with all the associated consequences.
