The fluid has a flash point of +57°C, allowing appropriate fire safety measures to be incorporated into the system design. Therminol® LT offers designers and users of liquid-phase systems a fluid with excellent thermal stability, free from carbonization and sludge formation problems, and lower maintenance costs over a longer service life. Therminol® LT also possesses excellent low-temperature viscosity characteristics that ensure excellent oil pumpability at very low temperatures, facilitating startup even at temperatures around -73°C without the need for electrical tracing.
