Therminol® 75 heat transfer fluid offers excellent thermal stability. It has been developed for use at temperatures up to 385°C in typical liquid-phase heat transfer systems operating at low pressure.
A static pressure of only about 1.5 bar would allow the liquid phase to be maintained at high temperatures. Therminol® 75 liquid has heat transfer coefficients equivalent to or higher than other natural or synthetic liquids in the same boiling range. Due to its high boiling point (343°C), Therminol® 75 generates very little vapor pressure above ambient pressure at 385°C and can be used in low-pressure systems. Under ambient conditions, Therminol® 75 is a soft solid with a slurry point of approximately 75–80°C. It has a low odor level.
