The high boiling point of Therminol® 54 helps reduce volatility and thereby the fluid leakage problems associated with other fluids. The recommended maximum bulk temperature for Therminol® 54 is based on industry standard thermal studies. Operating at or below this maximum temperature will ensure a longer service life under many operating conditions. Therminol® 54 is a product for the medium temperature range of -28°C to +280°C, and with its high-quality properties, such as not forming fouling in the piping system, it is an excellent alternative to mineral oil-based thermal fluids.
