POWDERED ACTIVATED CARBON (PAC)
Very fine disposable powder (< 0.18 mm) with maximum surface area, ideal for rapid adsorption in liquids and wastewater treatment.
Pulverized coal is coal ground into fine powder, which means it has an extremely large surface-to-volume ratio. Despite its very fine size, it does not generate significant dust because it absorbs very well in the liquids where it is applied.
PAC works much faster than granular forms because the adsorption paths are much shorter. This makes it ideal for process applications where treatment time is limited, and for situations where the concentration of contaminants needs to be reduced quickly.
