Molecular Sieve 5A is a five-point sieve with pore sizes of 5 Ångstroms, which allows for an even wider range of molecules than 4A, while still excluding larger impurities. This makes it particularly suitable for complex natural gas containing multiple impurities (water, CO₂, H₂S).
5A is the workhorse of natural gas treatment systems and is widely used in oxygen concentrators for medical purposes and industrial applications. Its superior nitrogen adsorption capacity makes it the preferred agent for PSA nitrogen generators in high-purity applications.
