BLUE SILICA GEL (Blue)
Color-indicating silica gel that changes from blue to pink when saturated with water.
Silica Gel is made by precipitating colloidal silicon dioxide and then drying it. This creates a highly porous, glass-like material that absorbs water. Unlike activation algae, Silica Gel sometimes changes color with color indicators (blue, orange) to show when it is saturated.
Silica Gel performs better in higher humidity areas (> 40% relative humidity) and is ideal for packaging applications and electronic equipment. It can be easily reactivated by gentle heating.
