Therminol® VLT is a special thermal oil with excellent heat transfer capacities for use at extremely low temperatures in an average pressure and indirect heat system.
This thermal oil is distinguished by its extremely good pumpability at very low temperatures and its high thermal stability. Therminol® VLT is ideal for heating and cooling systems that are only used at a temperature from -115°C to + 175°C.
With a flash point of -7°C (closed cup), Therminol® VLT is classified as highly flammable according to the EU Dangerous Preparation Directive 1999/45 / EU. Therefore, extra care must be taken in the design of the installation to prevent possible leaks especially when working above the bulk temperature of 99˚C. (the boiling point of Therminol® VLT).
