Therminol® LT is a synthetic organic thermal fluid. It can be used in both the liquid and gas phase. With a boiling point of 181˚C, Therminol® LT can be used in the liquid phase from -75˚C to +181˚C at ambient temperature or above 181˚C under pressure up to 315˚C.

Therminol® LT is a synthetic organic thermal fluid. It can be used in both the liquid and gas phase. With a boiling point of 181˚C, Therminol® LT can be used in the liquid phase from -75˚C to +181˚C at ambient temperatures or above 181˚C at pressures up to 315˚C.
The liquid has a flash point of +57˚C which means that appropriate fire safety measures are included in the system design. Therminol® LT offers designers and users of liquid-phase systems, a fluid with excellent thermal stability, free of carbon formation and slurry formation problems and lower maintenance costs over a longer period of use. Therminol® LT also has excellent low temperature viscosity characteristics that ensure excellent pump-ability of the oil at very low temperatures that facilitate a startup situation even at temperatures around -73°C, without the need for electrical “tracing”.
