Description
Therminol® 59 is a synthetic, organic, liquid phase thermal oil with exceptionally good low-temperature pump characteristic and with very good thermal stability that ensures long-term and optimal operation of the system at a maximum bulk temperature of up to 315°C.
Therminol® 59 is designed for use with indirect heat systems, and is able to provide efficient, reliable, uniform process “heating” or “cooling” without the need for increased system pressure for the main circulation pump(s). The excellent characteristics at low temperatures down to -49°C or even lower is recommended for those thermal systems that do not have steam or electric heat tracing, which keeps investment costs low.
Therminol® 59 is often used on offshore installations in the North Sea and installations that can or must be switched off for some time in the winter months at temperatures below freezing.
