Description
Therminol® 55 is a synthetic liquid that is used in the liquid phase of indirect process heating installations in the rangefrom -28˚C to + 300.C.
Therminol® 55 exhibits a particularly high chemical stability compared to a mineral thermal oil, resulting in an exceptionally good cost / performance ratio. With a viscosity of approximately 300mm2 / s at -10°C, this thermal oil is considerably easier to pump than most other mineral thermal oil types. Where steam has been used in the past, Therminol® 55 alternatively offers excellent results with a considerably lower capital investment and much lower operating costs compared to a steam system. Therminol® 55 systems are very versatile and are used for extruders, calender dryers, petrochemical installations, fuel heating on ships, storage tank terminals, heat recovery installations and many other applications in the medium temperature range.
