Description
Therminol® SP is a synthetic fluid that can be used in the liquid phase of indirect process heating installations within the range from -28˚C to +300˚C.
Therminol® SP has a particularly high chemical stability compared to a mineral thermal oil, resulting in an exceptionally good cost/performance ratio. With a viscosity of approximately 300mm2/s at -10°C, this thermal oil is easier to pump than most other mineral thermal oils. Where steam has been used in the past, Therminol® SP is an excellent alternative with a significantly lower capital investment and much lower operating costs compared to a steam system. Therminol® SP systems are very versatile and are used for extruders, calender dryers, petrochemical installations, fuel heating on ships, storage tank terminals, heat recovery installations and many other applications in the medium temperature range.
