Description
Therminol® XP is a typical thermal, pure mineral oil used in conditions where the possibility of contamination with food cannot be excluded. Therminol® XP can be used in a range from -20°C to + 315°C.
Despite the high quality of this thermal oil, the tendency to oxidation is present at higher temperatures, simply because we are talking here about a pure mineral oil with an “FDA approval”, so excellent for use in the food industry. A nitrogen installation on the expansion vessel is a “must” to further prevent accelerated oxidation. There are really no thermal fluids that have an FDA approval and do not need to be changed regularly. Especially in the bakery world, many wrong products are used in thermal systems, often with severe carbonization in the pipe system, with all the consequences that entails.
